multitudes I and II
This is a re-issue of Delphine Dora’s Multitudes I and II. these releases were originally made available in 2009 and 2013 respectively. Both releases are based on lyrics from Walt Whitman’s book Leaves Of Grass. I absolutely love these releases and I’m very happy and honored to be able to make them available on cassette. Last year I invited my friend Frederik, who sings in Bending Backwards, plays piano in some different jazz projects and reads 100 books a year to come by my apartment and record a tape for Afvikling. This is what came out of it. A half hour of truly virtuous yet very weird piano and organ Music, with sounds of construction work echoing through the open windows. For me a prime example of why you sometimes just shall let the tape run and let the magic happen by itself.

Originally self released on bandcamp doing a transitional period in the artists life last year, now finally released on cassette. Soft and introverted hymns with quiet sounds of domestic life humming in the background.
Field recordings fra Amager
I’m very happy to present this cassette by my dear friend Martha Hviid. A sprawling and colorful collage of field recordings from Amager, A place many (especially those who live there) would call their favorite part of Copenhagen. When you listen to the tape, you definitely get the sense that adventure is always waiting for you just around the corner. Martha Mostly makes Visual art, but I hope she will make more music, or sound works, as I think she likes to call her recordings.
Bad poet
First physical release from mysterious local project Kirbs. I consider the digital Kirbs releases to be some of the last treasures of the Internet, so I’m very happy to present her music finally on a physical medium. 25 minutes of absolutely brilliant domestic computer music. Totally unique and completely unlike anything else i’ve heard.

Ghostly industrial from One of my favorite local projects. 60 minutes of warm and dreamlike tape music. This recording is for me a perfect example of how music for magnetic tape can feel as organic as the vibrations of a string or the humming of a voice, when utilizing the flaws and unpredictability of tapes and tape machines.

Dried plum music for the grim reaper / gathering tiny traces
I’m very happy to present a split cassette of two of my favorite tape music artists from Denmark. A half hour of strange magnetic signals, unidentifiable voices, and all round textural bless. Too quiet to be noise, too gnarly to be ambient, but absolutely perfect for this label.

Ultra homemade brilliance from my friend Johannes. Four years of bedroom recordings edited down to a half hour of DIY perfection. Best pop record on the label for sure. The only pop record maybe but crazy good nonetheless.

Proportioning of open units
Besides being a visual artist, Christoffer Kjærskov has quietly been making experimental music for the last 20 years. His works, always recorded to 4 track cassette, seem to carry a certain warmth flowing through the patiently unfolding loops and shimmering melodies this release is an assemblage of synthesizer, urban field recordings and even some synthetic flute solos peeping through the tape mist. A lovely unpretentious recording, I am very happy to present through afvikling .
