Hironari Iwata began his solo project Toukaseibunshi (Transparent Molecules) in 1985. In the same year he formed a second unit called Haiginsha, and began collaborating with Merzbow and Agencement. This marvellous release from Mark Wastell’s Confront label documents a meeting of these three heavy hitters convened at Dalston’s Cafe Oto, last March. Chick was one of the original members of the Bardo Matrix crew (along with Dana Young, Gregg Sharits and Craig Love) which was a psychedelic lightshow in Boulder, Colorado at first.
