Orlan intervenes here as a speaker with her recognizable deep voice (the text is a cosmological list of events supposed to occur in the future, read in chronological order like an inexorable countdown, until the total disappearance of everything). Orlan's voice will be audible (from 10,000 to 20 billion years) or submerged by the orchestra in the second part (from 50 billion years to total destruction). The PolyTransMetaOrchestra (P.T.M.O) is a virtual orchestra, composed of four singers (Loré Lixenberg, Joan La Barbara, Wills Morgan and the artist Jacques Lizène, who died on September 30, 2021) and 124 different instruments from Western civilization as well as from all other places on earth.
Frédéric Acquaviva asked each chosen singer or instrumentalist (some of the best), poet or composer, aged from 1 to 94, to record a single note, from which he composed the first micropolyphonic part of [səminal]. In the second part, gradually, all the instrumentalists play together, electronic multiplications then developing from this same tiny but seminal material. As the voice tells of the disappearance of all life, gradually a denser, more evolved microtonal harmony emerges, taking birth from the DNA of each instrument (violin, accordion, female voice, male voice, piano, saxophone, viola da gamba, synthesizer, horns, drums, etc.), exactly as in a period of cultural decadence, when some creative voices continue to struggle to exist and proliferate.
