conceived by artist Nico Vascellari as contribution to the Diedrich Diedrichsen-curated exhibition Rock Scissors Paper at Kunsthaus Graz. Lago Morto is “about things that casting calls usually exclude -- targeted aggression, unpredictable social effects and local politics.” The band performed for fifteen days in Vittorio Veneto in nonmusical venues such as bars, hotels, pizzeriaa, laundrettes, video stores etc. All fourteen of the band’s songs are on the CD. The DVD contains a video from each of…

Massive 7xCD box set compiling rare material by the great alto screamer Kaoru Abe is the lost wild legend of '70s Japanese free jazz. In the short space of his tempestuous life, he burnt a path which has served as a map for a whole generation of Japanese artists to follow who would call themselves 'free' in any sense of the word whatsoever. Though he performed live frequently in his day, his releases were sporadic, many of them emerging after his untimely death in 1978, and on a string of Japane…
Features Prurient, Pedestrian Deposit, Sewer Election, Panicsville, Immaculate Grotesque, Ahlzgailzehguh, Barrikad, Omei, Climax Denial, Stegm, Mark Solotroff, FFH, A Fail Association, etc. etc." Includes poster. "i started putting this compilation together in 2004 while residing in providence. at that time the climate of noise was rather hi-fi, technological, and cold. This was the start of noise as entertainment rather than entertaining. personal communication became lost. noise becam…
Obscure artist from Italy, harsh noise with not so dynamic structures, junk abuse, no space for field recordings or concrete parts. A brutal assault, perfect mix between early Bastard Noise era and 90s Japanese scene.
Here's an unmissable and collectable 150 copies limited edition CD album, released to celebrate our fifth year of activities and available only as a free "bonus" included in the "bag" that contains the latest 13 Silentes releases. Born from an idea by Stefano Gentile, who also actively participated to the making of the album, the Maribor project brings together for the first time in a collaborative CD some of the most remarkable names of the Italian experimental and avantagarde scene: Maurizio B…
Jason Crumer likes what you like: noise, girls, getting wasted once in while and maybe a spot of trouble here and there. He first started blowing minds as guitarist in the insane sludge punk core outfits Aluminum Noise and Facedowninshit. As well as the ultra-weirdo outfits American Band, Now In Darkness World Stops Turning and Amazing Grace. Since going solo in 2005 he's released fascinating and brainmelting USA noise death on labels like Iatrogenesis, Audiobot, Ignivomous, RRR, Nazot, Chondrit…
A new EP featuring unreleased recordings from this Dutch electronic master. For over twenty years Prins has explored the spatial, textural and compositional possibilities of electronic systems with his custom circutry; both through sound and his arts practice. Reconsidering the technologies of club culture he has defined his own very radical approach to music; having also collaborated with the likes of Christian Fennesz, Lee Ranaldo, Carlos Giffoni as well as being an integral member of MIMEO.Th…
Abe at his best! Crudely generalising a contrast in free jazz tendencies between AMM/SME/MIC/FMP and AACM/ESP, it's hard to say if Abe's closer to the gentle, bearded intellectualism of some European improvisation, or to the gutsier funk of more US freedom fighters. Up there with the best of both Western sides of the sea, but unlike any one from either, his stroppy, razor-sharpening alto style mixes tousled emotionalism with dogged puzzling, like an amalgam of Anthony Braxton and a sadder, angri…
Just arrived, stellar release as usual! FIRST EDITION ON VINYL!!! In 1999 SISSY SPACEK made their first recordings as a more or less "conventional" blur/grindcore duo consisting of CORYDON RONNAU (vocals) and JOHN WIESE (bass and drum machine). Shortly after, the band entered a recycling period in which Wiese produced a number of albums and EPs, the first of which was this s/t CD (originally released on Helicopter), transforming their original source material into hardcore musique conc…
Terrific new release by the cult 'a dear girl called Wendy' italian label: this recordings are a natural progression from the recent "Förruttnelsen" LP on Release The Bats. Like before filthy and decaying reel-to-reel/cassette/tape-echo loops, electronics, junk, field recordings, feedback blasts is mixed with industrial decay and creepy dynamic noise. Minimalistic textures raped by tapeloops, field recordings and junk abuse. Just raw electronics. Organic machine music. No happiness there. 7"…
"United" collects the 4 long out of print and rare Throbbing Gristle 7"s issued between 1979-1980, plus a version of "United" by Marc Almond as bonus, originally found on a 1984 flexi-disc. Only a few copies available.
Subtitled Minimal Compositions, Instrumentals, and Experiments 1980-1983, J.G. Thirlwell's CD-DVD retrospective casts an entirely new and surprising light on his already diverse and infamous Foetus moniker. Some of these songs are close to being 30 years old, however they share more in common with Thirlwell's Manorexia and Steroid Maximus projects than with anything found on albums like Hole or Nail. Steeped in the theory and aesthetics of modern composition, Limb is a revelatory collection th…
Limited edition of 413 copies in dvd box including a numbered insert with a M.B. essay from 1982 titled After The Entrance, The Final Solution. The material conained here was previously issued under the moniker Leibstandarte SS MB. The moniker Leibstandarte SS MB and the nazi speeches that were added to the music were used without Maurizio Bianchi knowledge and without his consent. Cassette releases on the Come Organistaion Label, hence the Liebstandarte SS prefix, added by William Bennet…
Destined to be one of the top album of the year, finally Joanna Newsom releases her first album since late 2006's Ys, making up for lost time with a disc for 2008, one for 2009 and one for today. Featuring Ryan Francesconi and Neal Morgan from Joanna's Ys Street Band, Have One On Me is an extravagantly packaged (and extravagantly nicely-priced) collection of fantastic new Joanna Newsom songs -- her most colorful record to date.
Like all pre-war recordings and all of Rose's releases, this album was recorded live. It was not created using overdubs but rather by recording a few 'takes' and selecting the best performance out of those. Rose stated, 'I wanted the songs to have an immediacy and spontaneity as they were being recorded. All the musicians chosen for the record know how to play the songs without overworking the material, but at the same time creating memorable accompaniments on the spot.' Several of the so…
