*2022 stock* Digitmovies continues riding along sunny scorching deserts and looking for soundtracks of the Italian Western genre. We now issue for the first time on CD the complete OST in full stereo by Carlo Rustichelli for the film “Bastardo ... vamos a matar!”
For our CD we could have access to the stereo master tapes of the original session conducted by Gianfranco Plenizio and with the Choir I Cantori Moderni di Alessandroni so that every note recorded has been included here with a total time of 51:22. Carlo Rustichelli has written a Mexican-flavored OST with a cheerful main theme performed by orchestra and choir introduced in the “Main Titles” (Tr. 1) and later reprised in Tr.4, Tr.6, Tr.9, Tr.13, Tr.17 and in the conclusive “Final”. The composer alternates this lively theme with wild Mariachi tunes(Tr. 3, Tr.5, Tr.7, Tr.11, Tr.19, Tr.21, Tr.23), with dramatic and mysterious tracks (Tr.2, Tr.8, Tr.18, Tr.19, Tr.22) in which also variations of the American anthem “Star Spangled Banner” are included, and with a delicate love theme (Tr. 10, Tr.18, Tr.30).
