"Bisca had their roots in the New York of mixed funk and no wave: more than understandable, in light of the ideal points of contact existing between the chaotic American metropolis and Naples where the group was formed. Having found refuge at Materiali Sonori, in 1982 the sextet released an untitled mini-LP with six rough and hysterical tracks, far from the traditionally understood song but not so bizarre or experimental as to border on the semi-unlistenable for the non-followers: an unusual canon, streaked with jazz and rap and characterized by lyrics in Italian, English and Neapolitan, to which Bisca would have remained essentially faithful throughout their lively and courageous journey."
