The other Lupus record in the sale, and another Florentine-flavoured oddity: Paride Miglioli's "colours, sketches and musical miniatures," a set of very short pieces for small forces that behave like an artist's notebook, one idea per page. Miglioli was a conservatory composer moonlighting in library, and the writing has a Debussyan lightness that the Roman labels rarely produced.
Lupus pressed almost nothing and what it pressed has largely vanished; this copy is clean. Original.
