We are delighted to announce the latest project by acclaimed pianist and composer Masako Ohta, My Music Garden, a luminous and intimate journey into the poetic world of sound. Masako Ohta is celebrated for her sensitive performances and her ability to transcend borders between classical, contemporary, and improvisational music. With My Music Garden, she invites listeners into a personal landscape of reflection and discovery, where every note blooms like a flower in a musical garden.  

The program presents original compositions interwoven with carefully chosen works that resonate with her artistic vision. Guided by her refined touch and profound sense of silence, Ohta creates a space where listeners can reconnect with beauty, contemplation, and inner calm. “My intention is to share music as a garden,” says Ohta, “a place where people can breathe, dream, and find renewal.” Her approach reflects a deep engagement with both Western and Asian traditions, blending them into a unique, lyrical voice. 

"In 2025, I found myself in a serious crisis. I felt powerless and depressed, as if I were sinking into the ground. To escape the crisis, I retreated to an enclave at the end of February, a secluded forest house in the Bavarian Forest, far away from the hustle and bustle and stress of everyday life, to let the silence and nature accompany me. I left the world around me behind and was able to find myself in music. My musical garden changed and transformed, and new worlds of sound emerged. For me, it was like a journey of discovery into myself and, at the same time, like a rebirth. This is how this album, My Music Garden came about." - Masako Ohta
