Georg Deuter, who later took the name Chaitanya Hari, was among the first artists on the Kuckuck label, and his early-1970s records helped invent the gentle, nature-tinted electronics the marketplace would soon call new age. Nirvana Road (1984), recorded in California, is a late and characteristic example: flute, guitar, and synthesizer braided with panpipes and tabla into something warm, meditative, faintly Andean.
Far from the harsher cosmic music of the era, it belongs to the contemplative wing of the German scene, the strand that ran from kosmische calm toward the ashram and the wind chime. The Kuckuck issue.
