** condition: VG+/VG+ (some surface noise in quiet parts) ** "This record is from 1971 and is most noted for its inclusion of a live Tangerine Dream track as well as a track by avant-garde improvisers Anima Sound. Overall there are a great many different styles of music represented here. Other artists also on the first disc are The Dave Pike Set (who use a Frank Zappa piece as their starting point), a solo piano piece and also a 4 minute piece of sound poetry by the composer Otto Zykan. On the second disc there is Friedrich Gulda, who is listed on the NWW list, playing some Mozart (for 6 and a half minutes), then there is Christian music from Romania, an Arabic spiritual dirge from Tunisia that sound like the Master Musicians of Joujouka, and a raga (sitar/tabla). The third disc has an amazing side long piece called “Mahgreb Suite” by George Gruntz, and features John Surman, Jean-Luc Ponty, Stu Martin, Barre Phillips, Limpe Fuchs of Anima and five other players. This hypnotic side sounds much like a wild Arbete Och Fritid track. The final side has Weather Report and The Trio in roughly equal measure."
