Gianni Ferrio was the RAI bandleader who wrote Parole parole for Mina, and he scored Lucio Fulci's Una sull'altra (1969), released abroad as Perversion Story: a San Francisco-set erotic thriller shot before Fulci turned to horror. The score is lounge noir of a high order, Hammond organ, wordless female voice, a bossa that turns sinister, the sound of a hotel bar where something is about to go wrong.
CAM issued it in the label's soundtrack series and the original is scarce; this copy plays clean. One of the best examples of the Italian erotic-thriller score before Morricone's giallo work defined the genre.
