Daniela Casa was one of very few women composing Italian library music, a Roman singer-songwriter who turned to production music in the seventies and made a handful of records for Deneb, Fonit and others before her early death in 1986. Società malata ("Sick Society") is her darkest: cues on urban alienation, drugs, violence, alienation again, for synthesizer, guitar and voice, made with a fierceness that the titles only begin to indicate.

Penny Records' reissue restores it with a CD of the full programme. Casa's records have become touchstones for the current interest in Italian library, and this one is the reason. New, sealed.
