2024 stock. Absolutely riveting reissue of this classic French underground album from 1976, appearing for the first time on CD. "Pole is the first and only co-operation, where both were working as musicians, between Jean Louis Rizet and Philippe Besombes. This double album, recorded in 1976, shows a more serious side of the artists, with a leaning toward contemporary classical music that shows their interest in electronic and electro-acoustic ideas; reminiscent of Faust at times, but also close …
Reissue of the third album by the German band Wallenstein, originally released in 1973. Recorded at the Dierks Studios by Dieter Dierks, the group consisted of bandleader Jürgen Dollase, Harald Grosskopf (drums), Dieter Meier (bass), Bill Barone (guitar), and Joachim Reiser (violin). In 2022 the original analog masters were newly remastered. An elaborate work, which has led to a very good result.

Look De Bouk were even split partners with Alig Pearce, Mick Hobbs, Joey Stack & Caroline Brooks on AYAA's "Double Dog Dare" cassette and were also linked together again on the "Bad Alchemy Nr 17" live @ AKW compilation. Super Tip! The musical world of Sonorhc is oriented to collective improvisation and the research of tones; they create a sound full of invention, rich technically, made by many differents instruments which incorporated judiciously elements from the rock music, free-jazz, acid-psych, concrete, ethnic and experimental making them as one of the most atypical French Underground group, and seems somewhere more closer to the German “krautrock” bands like Between, Agitation Free, Deuter, Limbus 3, Dzya…
Sporting one of the coolest record sleeves of all-time, Richard Pinhas’ latest offering is essential. His continual exploration of interior landscapes seem to have caused them to expand to enormous proportions, as if relentlessly probing such terrain only succeeds in making it more cavernous. It’s always edge-of-the-seat surprises as to what we’ll find illuminated within their darkness. And it sounds cool as fuck.
Pinhas has been threatening for years now that each new release might be his final…
*In process of stocking. Limited edition of 500 copies* Another unsung hero of the long lost british prog history, Julian Jay Savarin is a keyboard player and composer, poet and science fiction author, hence the association with the most epic and romantic tendencies of the genre. He was born in Dominica (an island between Martinique and Guadeloupe in the Caribbean) and moved to the UK in 1962. He debuted in 1970 with Julian's Treatment, a short-lived progressive rock band which his sole album – …
Originally released in 1976, this collection offers a snapshot of Henry Cow as audiences would have heard it in the year before. In the chronology, Concerts came between In Praise of Learning and Western Culture - that is, after Virgin had lost interest in releasing any more Henry Cow studio records and before the band quit to make one of its own. It was also the year of the 'merger' with Robert Wyatt for a series of concerts in which compositions were shared - the last show, in Rome, was also R…
Founded in 1978 by Rock Magazine editor-in-chief Yuzuru Agi, Vanity Records captured the cutting-edge musical trends of its time, including new bands working with post-punk values, alternative approaches by musicians who had been in bands, and electronic and industrial music as the cutting edge of the times. Vanity Records is said to be one of the first independent labels in Japan, and is an indispensable part of the independent/indie music scene in Japan from the late 70s to the early 80s. The …

Gilbert Artman’s Lard Free (LP)Recorded in just three days and released in 1973, mixing jazz, kraut and prog rock, Lard Free’s first album is a musical landmark in the French underground scene. ** 500 copies ** Recorded in just three days and released in 1973, mixing jazz, kraut and prog rock, Lard Free’s first album is a musical land-mark in the French underground scene. To this day, it still matches the perfection of their English and German fellows like Soft Machine and Amon Düül. A true masterpiece."Lard Free is a French psychedelic band, formed around drummer and keyboards player Gilbert Artman. He was the only constant member of the band on their few next albums. ** 500 copies ** Released in 1975 with a slight line-up change, I’m Around About Midnight shifts from rock to a more electronic ap-proach thanks to Richard Pinhas (Heldon) skills with keyboards. More experimental and sophisticated than ever, it shows a band searching for constant musical absoluteness.Lard Free's second album was recorded in Paris in a three day session and released in 1975 on Vamp. The lineup is totally different from the first LP and as mentioned it features long time friend Ri…
** 500 copies ** Released only one year prior to their split, III digs even deeper into electronic and experimental territories. Lard Free’s music has never sounded more cinematographic and spacey than on this record which perfectly blends the players, their instruments and some kind of dialog with the Universe. This is the most electronic effort of the group and the instruments on this album consists of mostly synths. In addition we have piano, drums, vibes, guitar - and clarinet as the first ti…
** 500 copies ** Never heard before until its release on CD in 1997 (on Spa-lax Records), Unnamed was recorded a year before Lard Free’s first album and shows a band that totally foresaw the Rock In Opposition movement. Aventurous, never afraid to explore unknown musical lands, Lard Free definitely owns its place in the great History of Rock Music.Recorded in 1971/1972, these Lard Free "lost" recordings document an interesting, primitive period of the band and shows Artman and Co. moving freely…
There are enough ideas in the first couple of numbers to fill a whole album, with wailing sax and clarinet and lightning propelled guitar in the brief opener ‘Heat Patch’- think Zappa- then Fripp in ‘The Celebration Restriction’. It’s a whirlwind, visceral listen with the free spirit of experimental jazz and the nous of heavy rock." Phil Jackson.
Conceived and realised over an 8-month period of intense solitary work, "Gated" is Alex Ward's most ambitious musical statement to date. The ten pieces…
"Nick is a guitarist with a long history, most of it not troubling the charts. From the youthful pop of Polydor’s “Typhoon Saturday” through the anarchy of Dig Vis Drill, as well as working with the Comsat Angels, Neil Ardley and many, many more. He has developed an individual musical voice based around the looping and processing of a guitar. The music evokes many different moods and is both beautiful and challenging in equal measures, like theme music for films that have never been made. Every …
After thirteen years from their last album "Brevi Momenti di Presenza", Italian cult band Anatrofobia comes back with a new release, the seventh one in their 30-year long career. With some news this time. Starting from the line-up that alongside founders Luca Cartolari and Andrea Biondello, includes Cristina Trotto Gatta (already in Masche) who with her voice magically manages to enrich the sound of a traditionally instrumental band, and the punk soul and instruments of Paolo Cantù.
Vampisoul present a first-time reissue of Hugo Jasa's Estados De Ánimo, originally released in 1990.
