Caravan

Caravan is an English rock band formed in 1968 in the Canterbury area of Kent by four former members of the Wilde Flowers. The group is one of the main names of the Canterbury scene, mixing psychedelic rock with jazz and classical elements, and is best known for the 1971 album In the Land of Grey and Pink. Caravan was founded by Pye Hastings, Richard Coughlan, Dave Sinclair and Richard Sinclair, who began by renting a house in Whitstable. The debut Caravan appeared on Verve, and the band then moved to Decca, whose Deram imprint issued In the Land of Grey and Pink.
