Anne Guthrie

Anne Guthrie is an American acoustician, composer and French horn player who studied composition at the University of Iowa and architectural acoustics at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Her music combines processed field recordings, which play on architectural and psychoacoustic effects to blur the identity of sounds, with horn improvisation. Long active in Brooklyn's experimental scene, she later moved to San Francisco. Guthrie made the duo album Sinter with Richard Kamerman for the ErstAEU label, and she plays with Billy Gomberg as FrauFraulein and with both as Delicate Sen.
