Giovanni Lami

Giovanni Lami is an Italian sound artist, musician and curator from Ravenna, working in electroacoustic composition, live electronics and field recording. He first became known for work on magnetic tape, resonant surfaces and the decay of recording devices, and later moved to setups that combine modular synthesis, field recordings and real-time processing. Lami trained in food science and in photography before turning to sound. He is a member of the Archivio Italiano Paesaggi Sonori and forms the duo Lemures with the sound artist Enrico Coniglio.
