Howard Stelzer
Howard Stelzer is an American composer who makes electronic music almost entirely with cassette tapes and tape players. He was born in Belle Harbor, New York, in 1974, started making music as a teenager in Boca Raton, Florida, and later moved to Boston. His first pieces were collages made on dual cassette decks. In 1997 Stelzer founded the label Intransitive Recordings, which released his CDs Stone Blind (1997) and Bond Inlets (2008).
