Institute of Landscape Architecture
The Institute of Landscape Architecture is the sound research group that grew out of Christophe Girot's Chair of Landscape Architecture at ETH Zurich. Working with field recordings made by teachers and students, it treats sound as a basic part of landscape, combining fieldwork with a 3D sound laboratory to study Alpine and urban sites such as tunnels, dams and water networks. The team includes Ludwig Berger, Fabian Gutscher, Dennis Häusler, Johannes Rebsamen and Matthias Vollmer, and later continued as the Association for Landscape and Urban Studies.
