Joe Talia

Joe Talia is an improviser and composer from Melbourne, Australia, who has become part of the improvised music scene in Tokyo. He works with drums and percussion, a Revox tape machine, analogue synthesizers and field recordings, often treating his own playing and that of others through tape and effects. He is known as a drummer working alongside Oren Ambarchi and Jim O'Rourke, and as a recording and mixing engineer. Talia came out of jazz and free improvisation and plays in the Andrea Keller Quartet.
