Kraig Grady

Kraig Grady (born 1952 in Montebello, California) is a US-Australian composer and sound artist who works in just intonation. He studied with Nicolas Slonimsky, Dean Drummond, Dorrance Stalvey and Byong-Kon Kim, and in 1975 met the tuning theorist Erv Wilson, who shaped his direction. He designs and plays acoustic instruments such as metallophones, marimbas, hammered dulcimers and reed organs, tuned to alternative scales. Since 1993 much of his work belongs to the imagined culture of Anaphoria Island. He is acting editor of the online journal Xenharmonikon. Mode released his Crow on the Dark Side of Gloss.
