Lieven Martens Moana

Lieven Martens Moana is a Belgian sound artist based in Antwerp. He first released music as Dolphins Into The Future and later moved to his own name. His work combines field recordings, ambient and new age sounds, sound art and modern composition, and his live shows are often paired with lectures and slide projections. Martens was active early on in the Belgian cassette underground, working with labels such as Taped Sounds. The LP ...On Sea-Faring Isolation on Not Not Fun brought the project wider attention, and Underwater Peoples later issued Canto Arquipélago.
