Maurizio Abate

Maurizio Abate is a self-taught Italian guitarist, active since the early 2000s, whose music draws on blues, folk, psychedelia and drone. He has recorded since 2006 under his own name and in group projects, and he also records and produces other musicians. His records moved over time from long drone and psychedelic pieces to composed works for solo acoustic guitar. Abate recorded A Way to Nowhere in a rented room in an isolated mountain house, and Boring Machines and Black Sweat released it in 2014.
