Missus Beastly

Missus Beastly were a German band formed in Herford in 1968, part of the West German underground of the late 1960s and 1970s. Starting from blues rock and long improvised psychedelic sets, they moved toward jazz-rock after re-forming in 1973. Their self-produced debut album appeared in 1970, and in 1976 they co-founded the musicians' cooperative April with Embryo and Ton Steine Scherben. Missus Beastly began with Lutz Oldemeier (drums), Reinhard "Atzen" Wehmeyer (guitar, vocals), Wolfgang Nickel (keyboards) and Petja Hofman (bass). Their debut was recorded at the start of 1970.
