Sandra Boss

Sandra Boss (born 1984) is a Danish composer and sound artist based in Copenhagen. Her work deals with listening and hearing, and much of it is built around organs: pipe organs, a small mobile MIDI-controlled pipe organ and home-built instruments. Boss started on classical clarinet, studied comparative literature and art history, and graduated in electronic composition from DIEM at the Royal Academy of Music in 2013. She completed a PhD in sound art at Aarhus University titled Tuning the Ear. Her LP The Acoustic Appraiser (BIN, 2018) was made with an analogue audiometer.
