Prisma Records is proud to present the first release dedicated to the music by the late Norwegian experimental composer and electronic music pioneer, Sigurd Berge (1929-2002). This release shows some of Berge`s earliest experiments with tape-machines and early synthesizers and is taken from three reels found in the Henie Onstad Art Centre music archives in 2009. Don Dietrich
For four decades Don Dietrich has been one of the three musicians that makes Borbetomagus, a band that somewhere in the crossing point between loud rock, free improvisation and electronic noise music carved their own unique place in the musical landscape. Often overlooked and underappreciated Borbetomagus kept going like a steam train, slowly building a cult following that appreciates them for their uncompromising vision. Few bands can look back at a career with as much integrity as Borbetomagus…
Kama
A monumental 41 minute colossal single-track of an album recorded in the period from summer 2006 to february 2007 during dark nights in her studio in Oslo. Kama is mostly made from the sound of her french-horn; although if you didn't know it you probably wouldn't have guessed. Layers upon layers of distorted, processed and mangled pieces of sound form a consistent stream of sonic bliss. Within this massive sound-construction slowly shapes build into an epic climax. The title Kama hits at few int…

Intemporel
Tip! If there is a single feature that makes the context of experimental music so exciting, it is arguably the willingness of artists to freely converse and collaborate. This is made all that much more thrilling when it transpires across the generations. The first LP in Black Sweat’s latest batch is one such case - two heavyweights, often occupying very different positions in the musical landscape, with births separated by decades, finding common ground and voice. Neither Sarah Davachi or Ariel …

And The Mexican Jumping Beans
Back from a journey to Mexico Paul Panhuysen brought mexican jumping beans which are sold there as toys on the local markets. When in Eindhoven he began to experiment with these beans in different settings. The beans were jumping in eight containers made of various materials like plastic, aluminium or wood among others.
