Ted Lucas
Ted Lucas, the sole published album by singer-songwriter and master guitarist Ted Lucas has achieved an almost mystical reputation amongst aficionados and collectors. Ted Lucas is a seamless marriage of moody odes and raga-style instrumentals regarded by many to be, simply put, the greatest private press folk/psych album ever recorded. Lucas was a fixture in the Detroit rock scene of the sixties and seventies. His first band, The Spike Drivers, relocated to San Francisco to become one of the ver…
Make A Wilderness
Jonny Nash's Make A Wilderness was created over the course of 2017-2018 and is heavily influenced by descriptions of landscape and environment in the work of authors Shusaku Endo, J.G. Ballard, and Cormac McCarthy. Fragments from a land that is a largely silent place. An ancient place. A non-place. A wilderness.

Re-released for the first time since 1974, this is the sequel to the classic 1973 ‘Bongo Rock’, which became a foundation of rap and popular music, up to the present day. Reproduced on heavyweight 180g vinyl and in top-quality Japanese sleeves.  The Incredible Bongo Band is a blend of many multi-talented people. Jim Gordon is one of the featured musicians. Ringo Starr has said "Jim is one of the finest drummers in the world". Gordon composed 'Layla' in association with Eric Clapton. King Errisso…

One Man Session
We learned to know Massimo Martellotta with his band, those Calibro 35 for which he wrote some of the most famous songs, some recently sampled by JayZ, Daemon Albarn and Dr.Dre, and with which he is celebrating in the best way the tenth anniversary since his birth.  The composer and poly-instrumentalist Massimo Martellotta released in 5 volumes his personal project, realized in autonomy and solitude, playing all the instruments present in his studio/laboratory in Milan. One Man Sessions were pub…
One Man Session Volume 5: Just Cooking
It is inside an imaginary kitchen - among pots, stoves, appetizing scents and the reassuring hustle and bustle of the dishes - that Massimo Martellotta closes in beauty his five thematic discs, baptized just a year ago with the synthetic constructions of the first volume and then developed through three other academic appearances that have celebrated the prepared piano, the symphony orchestra and atmospheric guitars, however, without ever moving away from the fascinating microworld of library mu…
One Man Session Volume 4: Underwater
The five-volume project by the guitarist/founder of Calibro 35 continues. Massimo Martellotta, after having dedicated himself to the synths, the prepared piano (CNMM 002LP, 2018), and the symphonic orchestrations (CNMM 003LP, 2018), address the fourth chapter of the One Man Sessions series to the guitar with minimal drum grooves and analog brushstrokes. The title Underwater immediately clarifies the dreamy atmosphere and surfacing the passion for soundtracks and library music with experimentatio…
Pat Thomas Introduces Marijata
Pat Thomas career began in 1969 with the Broadway Dance Band, leaving a year later to join the Uhuru Dance Band. He then played with Ebo Taylor’s Blue Monks and finally formed the Sweet Beans in 1973 where he really made his name. The group released False Lover in 1974, split and then reformed as Marijata, releasing Marijata (also available on Mr Bongo) and this album, Pat Thomas Introduces Marijata. Thomas career spans more than 50 years and he still tours regularly across the world.
The Gospel According To Zeus
When one thinks of Motown Records, heavy guitar riffs and psychedelic rock is not the first thing that comes to mind. Perhaps that's why Power of Zeus's 'The Gospel According to Zeus', the debut rock release by Motown subsidiary Rare Earth Records and the Detroit band's first and only full-length album, has achieved mythological status in the years since its release in 1970. Marked by the virtuoso guitar work of Joe Periano, Power of Zeus created an album that merges the high-concept songwriting…
Female Animal: The Original Soundtrack‎
New York-based Arlene Farber, who later had a bit part in The French Connection, was renamed Arlene Tiger by future husband, Jerry Gross, for the lurid Female Animal, one of the exploitation films he directed and distributed in the late 60s and early 70s (here under the alias Juan Carlo Grinella). With a debauched plot about the raunchy misfortunes that befell an attractive peasant girl (with Gross appearing as a pimp), the film benefitted from a lush soundtrack by the Clay Pitts Orchestra, writ…
Double Face
* 2021 stock * Overdrive present a reissue of Moggi's (aka Piero Umiliani) Double Face, a hard-to-find Italian library record, originally released in 1981. The A side is Umiliani's compositions performed by a traditional string orchestra. The tracks have been synthesized for side B, exclusively by electronic instruments. At this point, the music becomes futuristic and brilliant. 180 gram vinyl.
Mighty Baby
The obscure British prog band Mighty Baby evolved from an earlier group called The Action, a London Mod act that signed to Parlophone after building a strong live reputation, with guitarist Alan King, bassist Mike Evans and drummer Roger Powell, later expanded to include former Savoy Brown guitarist Martin Stone and keyboardist/sax player, Ian Whiteman. Moving heavily into experimental psychedelia in 1969, they cut this incredible debut album for the Head label, which is rightly hailed as one of…
Fool For Love
Another stunning extraction from the hallowed archive of late Serbian musician, Rex Ilusivii. Here the 'King of Illusion' demonstrates the art of burial and reveal over an expansive 23 minutes master mix. The date of the recording is unknown - it sounds like his mid / late 80s output, but we cannot be sure. One-sided LP with large hand embossed insert (folded) and additonal info card. Very limited and previously unreleased.
A Beacon from Mars
Wielding a battery of exotic instruments that once adorned a thrift-shop front window (bazouki, oud, vina, saz, doumbeg), the Kaleidoscope was every bit as multi-hued and subject-to-change as the telescope full of bright bits of colored glass the band was named after. If there had been a prize for the most eclectic psychedelic outfit, L.A.’s Kaleidoscope would have had it stashed on a shelf—between the hookah pipes and the bowling trophies—in the band’s rehearsal space. Formed by multi-instrumen…

Inselmusik
LP version. Bureau B reissue Rolf Trostel's Inselmusik (1981). Rolf Trostel is a protagonist of the so-called Berliner Schule, or Berlin School (Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulze). On his first album Inselmusik, he explores the sonic possibilities of the recently introduced PPG wavetable synthesizer. The music is based on live performances from the late 1970s by Trostel and Krautrock guitarist Günter Schickert. Formally speaking, Inselmusik is a demonstration of the PPG Wave Computer 360, a synthes…
