*2024 stock* Gatefold cover. Here’s the fourth full LP release of this great Japanese rock band. The Long Trip is indeed a special one with three parts of the same song and other numbers all in a psychedelic and folk rock vein with great arrangements. Contrary to 'Kirikyogen' with strong taste of Flowers (Joe and Hideki), "Hikishio Michishio" should be Kuni's album, with full of his concept and attitude for progressive rock all over the world. 1971 was absolutely a dawn, golden year for Japanese…
*300 copies limited release* Cheval Fou was one of the most important, prolific and authentic psychedelic outfits that thrived on the margins of the French underground during the first half of the 70s. A precursor to the by now more well-known and equally outstanding space-rock formation NYL, Cheval Fou’s salvaged recordings are a testament to the purest made-in-Europe free-form, freak-out psychedelia. Just picture an amalgamation between Group 1850’s Agemo and Amon Duul’s Phallus Dei, with Dash…
Long lost krautrock classic delivering a dynamic, complex combination between fuzzy freak out improvisations (full of Hammond organ and catchy heavy guitar leads) and epic folk arrangements for the flute. Sperrmull formed in 1971 but went through various lineup changes until they recorded this their only album in December of 1972. It was produced by Dieter Dierks and recorded at his studio. Dieter also played some synths on the opening track. A very accomplished essay. Similar to (early) Nosfera…
A pioneer of electronic, computer, and instrumental avant-garde music, for the majority of his life, the German composer Roland Kayn remained one of the great unheralded figures in the landscape of 20th century sound - a founding member of Gruppo di Improvvisazione Nuova Consonanza, who delved into singular territories entirely his own. Fortunately, in the last few years, in part due to the release of his monumental work, A Little Electronic Milky Way of Sound, by Frozen Reeds in 2017, and Die S…

"Ville Vannemaa Cassiopeia is an exciting quintet project led by reed player Ville Vannemaa, a key player in UMO Jazz Orchestra and known for his engagement in several other Finnish jazz constellations. With him on this date is vibraphonist Panu Savolainen, Kasperi Sarikoski on trombone, Heikko Remmel on bass and Jaska Lukkarinen on drums. Six sublime songs penned by Ville himself, plenty of detail and swinging from joy to melancholy in a melodic sense aimed for repeated listening. Future classi…
Limited LP, Deluxe 180-gram reissue including original artwork & credits.. The second album by folk artist Tim Hardin, released in 1967, Tim Hardin 2 contains his most popular and much-covered composition “If I Were a Carpenter,” most notably recorded by Bobby Darin, whose version peaked at #8 in the US and #9 in the UK in 1966. While not as prolific as Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, or Neil Young, the prototypical folk-rocker Tim Hardin remains one of the greatest singer/songwriters, as much for his ma…
She is beautiful. And in a world where so much can easily be possessed on a whim or for a promise, she is not comparable. She has a clear, pure ring, a trueness, like an arrow that has hit an inner mark and can’t be wedged loose. Her voice and her manner, that stretch farther into the past than perhaps she realizes, may set the new style: an existential pop style that is as earthy as Mary Travers (Peter, Paul & Mary) yet more elegant, more isolated. Her name is Nico. I don’t know where she was b…
300 copies, Clear Vinyl. Heirloom is the first Lisa Ullén solo recording to appear on LP and exploits the two-sided nature of the physical format with two variations of the same three-part suite, exploring what it means to be ‘in between’ — be it genre, method or identity. The combination of Ullén’s deft control, patience and unconventional technique makes ‘Heirloom’ a sublime, ravishing listen. The LP is pressed on clear vinyl in an edition of 300 copies and housed with a photo of the small box…
Minuzia consists in an acoustic version of an audio installation that the French bassoon player Dafne Vicente-Sandoval had been presenting at a few sound art exhibitions; a handful bassoon cane reeds were regularly soaked into water, and these very thin slices of wood would start crackling in the course of their drying out process. These minute sounds were amplified by contact microphones and listened to through headphones. With an original text by the British anthropologist Tim Ingold.

Big Tip! 180 gram Vinyl Edition. Gatefold Cover. One of the last records made by avant sax legend Albert Ayler – a really mind-expanding album that's unlike anything else he ever did! By the time of the record, Ayler had made a full round trip between the New York and European jazz scenes – leaving important influences wherever he went, and trying desperately to pick up new ones the further he moved on. Here, he's working in a style that's a bit like that of Archie Shepp at the time – still ste…

Edition of 40. In 1992 the Italian sound artist Francesco Michi curated a project for the Volterra Teatro Festival, called “I Popoli Virtuali” (Virtual Populations). The original idea was to create and show the evidences of the existence of these virtual populations. Michi arranged a series of installations, performances and an exhibition. He himself created the Eugrughi Population, with their own poetics and rituals. “Poesie Eugrughe” is the representation of a supposed Eugrughian poets recital…

Marine Mammals and fish of Lofoten and Vesterålen’ is a collection that fits perfectly within the Gruenrekorder field recording series. From 2005-2008, Vester recorded the sounds of species encountered by her team in Norwegian waters and presents a selection of these recordings here…
