Up from Zero
Originally released in 1982 on cassette (Aeroplane Records AR3, UK), Up From Zero was David Jackman's third album of compositions. Integrating tapes, loops, shortwave radio signals, guitar tones, voice and a host of percussion elements, each piece accumulates into a complex collage of cycles that create a haunting set of 'movements' and bizarre spatial relationships. These are the most sought after of Jackman's first, solo recordings. The proto-Organum sound. Also included is 'Offshore', (1980).…

Beyond frequencies
Rare original first edition  with cover artwork printed on tracing paper. In the Galakthorrö family, Karl Runau could fit the role of the silent professor with a compulsive obession for minimal analog electro. This album was recorded between 1994 - 1998, and tracks vary from punchy beatbox pieces to brooding synth noodlings, all with that certainGalakthorrö touch.

Gyo-Kai Elegy
Pioneer, innovator and visionary are words easily associated with Toshiji Mikawa. One of the prime movers of Japanese noise, he started his musical activities in the late 1970s and joined the legendary and notorious Hijokaidan. In 1981 he formed Incapacitants to pursue his interest in pure noise, in contrast to the more performance art oriented Hijokaidan of that time. Initially a solo project, later he was joined by Fumio Kosakai to make Incapacitants a duo that has been widely acknowledged for…
Quality Control
A giant of Scandinavian experimental music, Lasse Marhaug has been active in sound creation since his teenage years. His interests have spanned a wide range of styles: from improv jams to film sound, from humorous collages to crushing harsh noise works. This non-stop activity has resulted in a massive body of recorded work and numerous live performances all over Tellus. Besides his solo work he has collaborated with a multitude of fellow sound artists on stage and in the studio. In the everflowi…

Penultimate and incredible controversial album - marking a revolutionary new approach in style, includes 16-page booklet featuring extensive lyrics and information Produced by William Bennett, except 'public' by Steve Albini Mastered by Denis Blackham; definitely one of Whitehouse's best albums. As far as complaints about it being too short: well, many of the Whitehouse albums that the folks on this list state as being good starting points or favorites ("Dedicated To Peter Kurten", "Bu…
Evidences Vol.1 - Final Industrial Music 1980
Staggeringly deluxe box sets from VOD. This label stands on top of the mountain, looking down pitifully at all the dirt-diggers below trying to scrap their way up the side. How do they do it?? "The 5LP box contains his tape-material from 1980: Mectpyo/Blut 1 & Mectpyo Blut 2 (1979/80), Atomique/Murder, Gene-P, Nervo/Hydra, Technology 2, all officially unreleased material on vinyl.
Mutation For A Continuity
Very few are aware of the beginning of Maurizio Bianchi's adventures? Before starting the complex and compelling production of many records and tapes in the early eighties under the M.B. trademark, Maurizio Bianchi was documenting the new music scene writing essays and reviews for independent magazines. It was August 1979 in Milan, Italy and his sound was strengthening when he felt the time had come to prove his desire for something new. So he started his first solo project, under the name Sache…
The Plain Truth
2014 repress, originally released in 2000. First issued on the Broken Flag label in the UK in an edition of 500 in 1983. A different style, providing some distance from all his previous works; a more expansive experimentation with multiple layers of synthesizer sounds. Still very intense. M.B.'s recordings come closest to classical electronics, but always with a very personal style. This CD edition also features an interview on Radio Popolare in Milan from 1/1/83. An English translation i…
Armaghedon
2014 repress, originally released in 2000. Private LP edition of 300 copies in 1984. This record is the soundtrack to a film with the same title, produced and directed by Maurizio Bianchi. For obscure reasons, the original LP remained unavailable for a long time, and was distributed only one year after it was printed. Moreover, most of the copies were destroyed. Less than 100 actually exist. This was M.B.'s last vinyl production, and also the only one featuring recordings of the artist's…
Endometrio
2014 repress. Originally issued as a private LP edition of 400 copies in 1983. De-composition for synthetic sounds and electronically generated noises. Here M.B. distanced himself from the movement of the industrial Bruitists, introducing his "bionic music." Notwithstanding the difficulty of listening, especially upon initial impact, you are facing treated and filtered synthetic sounds that become new organisms -- sound cells analyzed under the microscope. This CD also includes excerpts …
Das Testament

The second batch of the complete M.B. reissue program continues, once again issued by EEs'T (in conjunction with Alga Marghen) as a series of five separate CDs, or altogether as a box set. Reissue of a private LP edition of 300 copies in 1983. M.B.: electronics, rh…
Carcinosi
"Originally issued as a private LP in an edition of 400 copies in 1983. MB de-composition for bionic organisms and concrete sounds. A sound that refuses both the cold logic of the fetish electronic computer-man-of-the-year and the sterile exasperation of the negative. A sound that dilutes and coagulates, eluding the listeners with minimal variations that make the cyclic style of Phillip Glass resemble a carousel of colors. This CD also features two untitled tracks first issued on compilation cas…
Ansätze Zum Taumel
From the first split second on Krube. grabs your attention with his hyper tight musique concrete that combines sounds from everyday objects, body openings and non-definable machinery. An old accordion may surface but it doesn't prevent him from continuing straightforward cut-ups, thus exploring scary maybe even unknown territory. If he's to perform at your local venue, leave mama at home and witness. Raionbashi's bunker soundscape seems to be breathing with anxiety. In celebration of his …

Cocaine Death
Cocaine Death is a compilation of three of Prurient's finest Hospital cassette releases as well as two unreleased tracks. The previously released material forms a triptych exploring the relationship between futile pleasure, substance and escape; escape being a myth. Cocaine Death (originally C-10 packaged in an envelope, limited to 46 copies) is perhaps the most sought after of the recent Prurient cassettes. The content is based on the glamour and destruction of toxic nightlife. The B-side featu…
