Francisco López, born in Madrid in 1964, is one of the main figures of experimental music and sound art. Over more than forty five years he has given hundreds of concerts, often to a blindfolded audience in total darkness, and carried out projects with environmental recordings, field research and sound installations in over eighty countries on six continents. La Selva (1998), made in the Costa Rican rainforest, is his best known record. His work has been published by nearly five hundred labels around the world, from tiny cassette imprints to large institutions.
