Includes feaurures, essays, interviews, reviews, etc., and comes with a CD with (often exclusive) music/sound in relation to the contents of the magazine. In this issue: Vladimir Ussachevsky, John Luther Adams, Francisco López, microsound, etc.

condition (disc/magazine): NM / EX

10"x8", 64- to 72-page (depending on the issue) stapled magazine.

Issue 82 of Musicworks, from 2001, devoted to instruments and influences, with articles on Vladimir Ussachevsky, John Luther Adams, Francisco López and microsound. The CD opens with an excerpt from Kim Cascone's Dust Theories, made of the clicks and residues of digital processing.

Tape works follow by alcides lanza (also heard in Plectros II with pianist Stephen Clarke) and Andrés Lewin-Richter with a set of short canons. The trio Shar plays bass, drums and balloons, the Paul Dresher Ensemble plays Adams's The Light That Fills the World on electronic keyboards and mallets, and López closes with two untitled pieces.
