Tram Vibration
Date : December 28, 2006. Place : Inside a tram on a round trip from Ebisu-cho to Hamadera Ekimae on the Hankai Line (12:03- 13:46) in Osaka, Japan. Tsunoda captured solid vibrations using a piezo-ceramic sensor and a stethoscope, and Haco used her 'stereo bugscope' (two inductive microphones) system to catch electromagnetic sounds.

Peter Becker is one half of famous Eyeless in Gaza. In 1979/80 Peter Becker and Martyn Bates formed their own label called „Ambivalent Scale Recordings“ in order to release their own music as well as projects of friends like Kevin Harrison or Bron Area. Ship Chop is a celebratory cut-up of far-flung musics. Edited, collaged and re-arranged by Daniel Padden from original vinyl sources to create impossible collaborations between musical ghosts. It is both reverential and sacrilegious, giving the music its full praise whilst also subjecting it to playful subversion. Some of the editing is obvious and transparent, but some of it much less so, where sounds from different recordings and continents overlap into an unlikely whole.
