Tip! Masonna is the solo noise project of Yamazaki Mazo, who, along with Merzbow and Emergency Staircase, has earned the respect of the entire world as an iconic figure of Japanoise. In 2002, Masonna, Christine 23 Onna, and Space Machine, the three units Yamazaki Mazo is involved with, released three albums simultaneously as the "Yamazaki Maso 15th Anniversary Freakout Triplex Series" to celebrate the 15th anniversary of their activities. The albums of these three units, Masonna, Christine 23 Onna, and Space Machine, were remastered by Soichiro Nakamura and released on analog vinyl for the first time! The latest liner notes written by Satoru Higashi Seto of Forever Records are enclosed (common to all three titles).
Formed in 1993 as a duo by Mazo Yamazaki and Fusao Toda, guitarist of Angelin' Heavy Syrup. They call themselves "Space Mondo Psychedelic Group. The unique world of Christine 23Onna, with a taste different from that of Masonna, Space Machine, or Angeline, is created by combining the psychedelic phrases of Fusao, a highly skilled guitarist/composer, with Yamazaki's spacy electronics. The compositions are clearly structured with groovy repetitive beats, which is rare in Yamazaki's projects. This is a popular piece that has evolved to be more pop, more colorful, more spacy, and more groovy.
