Maurice Jarre in his electronic period: Apology (Robert Bierman, 1986) is an HBO thriller about an artist who sets up a confessional phone line and attracts a killer, and Jarre scored it entirely on synthesizers, as he did Witness and The Year of Living Dangerously around the same time. The result is one of his most abstract works, closer to Tangerine Dream than to Lawrence of Arabia.

Varèse Sarabande's LP is the only release. For the collector of eighties synth scores and of Jarre's late reinvention.
