*2026 stock* Seoul-based producer Joyul (조율) sees long-awaited 10-inch vinyl releases of remix tracks originally included via a download code with the 2022 album Earwitness. The record features contributions from Ulla, a leading figure in the contemporary U.S. experimental sound scene; Japanese keyboardist Aki Tsuyuko; and Philadelphia-based Korean artist Lucy Liyou. Each artist presents a beautiful rework that preserves the original’s innocent vocals and electronic textures.

This 10-inch single cut celebrates RSD 2024, drawn from an album jointly released by Helicopter Records, run by key figure of the Korean underground Park Daham, and Psychic Liberation, helmed by Nick Klein. Highlights include “A Stage (Ulla Remix)” (sample 1), which adds heavy low-end and rhythm to the original’s dreamlike electronic drone, and “Prayer’s Stone (Aki Tsuyuko Remix)” (sample 2), featuring her signature electronic organ. These are delicate, elegant remixes that engage in subtle dialogue with the originals.
