Long out of print double set...These two CDs contain the live recording of "Empty Words", a Cage’s unusual performance played at Teatro Lirico in Milan on December 2nd, 1977: the artist, sitting at a small table with a little light, read words and phonemes taken from diary of H.D. Thoreau. With a minimum singing, tenuous and light, John Cage read disconnected words and syllables, away from all the codes and mechanisms of our communication.
