LP version. Released in 1981 by CGD, Energie is the album that established Giuni Russo as one of the most original and visionary artists in Italian music. Produced together with Maria Antonietta Sisini, with the collaboration of Franco Battiato, the record blends electronics, experimental pop and avant-garde singing.
Energie is much more than a record: it is a sound laboratory. With a unique voice and an aesthetic far outside the norm, Giuni Russo anticipated times and trends, so much so that the album, heard today, still sounds strikingly current.
Arrangements by Franco Battiato and Giusto Pio, production by Battiato and Alberto Radius, with Filippo Destrieri on keyboards, Giuliana Colonna on piano and Lino Capra Vaccina on timpani. Eight songs, from Lettera al Governatore della Libia and Il Sole di Austerlitz to Una Vipera Sarò and Tappeto Volante.
Newly remastered, on 180g yellow vinyl.
