AMS Records, in collaboration with Death Waltz and Cinevox Record, is proud to present the first-ever vinyl release of the soundtrack to "Flavia, la Monaca Musulmana" (Flavia the Heretic) by Nicola Piovani. Packaged in a gatefold sleeve with a special glossy print, this LP is made in a special Mondo exclusive color called "Blood of Christ." The original artwork is by Luke Insect, while the mastering was done by Claudio Fuiano.
Fifty years later, Gianfranco Mingozzi's film remains one of the most scabrous and shocking films of the 1970s. Composed and conducted by Academy Award winner Nicola Piovani-with vocal contributions by Edda Dell'Orso, this haunting original score lends a surprising beauty to a classic of the nunsploitation genre. The audio on this vinyl edition is taken from the Cinevox archives, and includes no less than four never-before-released tracks.
