Gert-Jan Prins

A new EP featuring unreleased recordings from this Dutch electronic master. For over twenty years Prins has explored the spatial, textural and compositional possibilities of electronic systems with his custom circutry; both through sound and his arts practice. Reconsidering the technologies of club culture he has defined his own very radical approach to music; having also collaborated with the likes of Christian Fennesz, Lee Ranaldo, Carlos Giffoni as well as being an integral member of MIMEO.

The Lathe Edition series is a number of lathe-cut 10" records in very restricted runs. Each disc is cut by hand in New York City, packaged in foil stamped tip-on Stoughton sleeves, individually titled and numbered.
