*150 copies limited edition* Paige Emery is an artist, herbalist, and plant dreamer exploring ways of remembering the Earth. Her music practice is intertwined with visual and performance art, plant medicine and healing rituals, all of the expressions affecting one another. Paige’s previous musical work has been in the context of performing sound pieces for healing rituals within art installations and gardens to guide people through ecological journeys within a site-specific place.

Intercommunications grew out of the humble place of singing to plants in her garden every morning after she meditated with them. This morning ritual led her to finding a new relationship with voice and more-than-human language through offerings of sound. These songs were seeded from a daily practice of plant communication, language becoming deconstructed through the mixing of vocal layers and sounds of the environment, playing at the meeting place of harmony and chaos, life and death. The music integrates these expressions into electronic landscapes using only the same single keyboard Paige has had since she was an adolescent. Each song represents a pathway to and from communicating with plants, while the album as a whole serves as an arc through different states of being on a healing journey with their medicine - opening, sensing, letting, washing, waking, dancing, calling, following, swelling, enduring, decomposing, which in the end leads to another opening. These states of being are inspired by the continual cycles of nature that we can continue to learn from.
