* 2025 stock. LP miniature with Obi. * Love Hurts / Beautiful Doll is the fifth and most important record by He6, the leading band of the 1970s golden age of ‘group sound’ bands in Korea. It features the band's notable funk/psychedelia track ‘Beautiful Doll (Get Ready)’ which was sampled by DJ Shadow in ‘the Number Song’. It also includes ‘You Don't Know’, the hit number led by Choi Heon's heartfelt vocals, as well as another He6 original track to listen to, the lively brass rock number ‘I Can't Tell’. The definitive reissue of Korea's historic 1972 rock masterpiece!'

Among the various ways pop culture developed in the various regions of East Asia as they modernised, the path followed by post-war Korea was unique. Due to the outbreak of the Korean War shortly after the peninsula's liberation from Japan, American pop culture played an important role on Korean pop culture. The conscious/subconscious aspirations and criticism of this fact continually gave rise to various layers of subculture in many fields, thus generating an energy that pushed the possibilities of local culture. In particular, the spectacular growth of pop music, born from the particular background that was the ‘American 8th Army scene’, has been recorded in the form of numerous records since the mid-1960s.

Among these unique rarities that stand out not only in the history of rock/pop music in Asia but worldwide, including especially the works of Shin Joong-hyeon and Add 4, Key Boys, and He 5.
