A classically trained French composer who had relocated to Hamburg, Blenner wrote, programmed and produced Magazin Frivole in his own La Vogue Studio between mid‑1980 and early 1981. Originally issued on the German label Sky Records and later reissued on vinyl by Bureau B, the album consists of eight tracks – “Magazin Frivole,” “Envoutement,” “Derivatif,” “A l’Ouest,” “Métropole agile,” “Phonique,” “Frivolité” and “Polyphase” – each a compact study in sequencer‑driven tension and melodic understatement.
