The French edition, in Orly's Kaleidoscope series, of Fabio Fabor's suspense record: fourteen cues split between the two title characters, Monsieur Diabolicus on side A (organ figures in a minor key, sparse echoing percussion, Neutrons, Officine du diable) and Monsieur Mysterious on side B (Onde magnétique, Idylle cosmique, Tension atmosphérique). It is giallo music without a giallo, the soundtrack of an imaginary RAI broadcast from a parallel 1973.

Fabor's distinction among the library composers is a darkness that runs through even his gentler work. The Orly pressing carries the French titles and the Kaleidoscope livery. Scarce.
