condition (record/cover): NM / VG (heavy ring wear)
By New Faces (1979) the band Hoelderlin had travelled a long way from the gauzy German-language acid-folk of their debut Hölderlins Traum. Built around the von Grumbkow brothers since their beginnings in Wuppertal, the group had moved through lush symphonic prog and arrived, by the close of the decade, at this sleeker, English-sung, almost AOR-shaped record, complete with a new vocalist and a tightened lineup.
Devotees of the early material tend to step off well before this stop, but it keeps its defenders among those who follow the band's whole arc. This is the 1980 Italian pressing on F1 Team.
