Selected works from a +30 year-old career as a Mexican pioneer and creator in electroacustic and experimental electronic music.

Mexican electroacoustic music pioneer, Antonio Russek is an important figure on the development of experimental music and electroacoustics in Mexico. Growing up, Russek played the saxophone in a youth orchestra and studied piano. Russek eventually left Coahuila in the 1970s to study film, design, physics, chemistry, acoustics, and electronic sound at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma (UNAM) in Mexico City. Once in Mexico City, he quickly established the Centro Independiente de Investigación Musical y Multimedia (CIIMM), where he has dedicated his time to composing electroacoustic music and audiovisual pieces. In addition, Russek has written works for theater and dance; his compositions are often about nature, particularly the sky and the horizon.
