Read the name backwards and you have the joke, which tells you most of what you need to know about the sensibility. Liof Munimula have been playing collective free improvisation in Ohio since the mid-seventies, without a fixed instrumentation, without any interest in a career, and without stopping, which makes them one of the longest continuously operating improvising groups in the United States. The Jonah Syndrome was self-released on their own Garlic Records and it sounds exactly like what it is: unhurried, argumentative, occasionally very funny music made by people who play together because they want to.

Original private pressing. Midwestern free improvisation entirely off the map, and almost never seen.
