Carl Michael von Hausswolff, born in Linköping in 1956, is a Swedish composer, visual artist and curator, considered one of the reference figures in performance audio and radical music. Developing his research into the physicality of sound, he uses video, tape recorders, radar and sonar to explore electricity, frequencies, architectural spaces and paranormal electrical interference. He has always been drawn to EVP, the electronic voice phenomena in which voices from other dimensions are said to be caught on tape, and works to bring hidden elements to light.
