David Lee Myers

David Lee Myers is a sound and visual artist based in New York City. Since 1987 he has made what he calls Feedback Music, played on electronic feedback machines he builds himself, and he released much of it under the name Arcane Device. The project began when Chris Cutler of Recommended Records issued the material Myers had sent him on tape as Engines of Myth. Myers recorded as Arcane Device until the mid 1990s and later worked under his own name, on labels such as ReR, Generator, Silent, RRRecords and Staalplaat, with reissues on his own Pulsewidth imprint.
