Gong
Gong is a rock band formed in Paris in 1967 by Australian musician Daevid Allen and English vocalist Gilli Smyth, and is associated with the Canterbury scene. Its music combines psychedelic, progressive, space and jazz rock. The group is best known for the Radio Gnome Invisible trilogy (1973-1974), a set of albums built on Allen's own mythology, with characters such as Zero the Hero and the Good Witch Yoni. Gong released Magick Brother (1970) and Camembert Electrique (1971), and spent the early 1970s living in a hunting lodge near Sens.
