Organ of Corti

Organ of Corti is a Swedish trio formed by Joachim Nordwall, Mattias Gustafsson and Dan Johansson. The group builds sparse pieces from repeating tape loops, analogue synthesizer and half-recognisable voice samples, drawing on 1960s tape music, minimal music and early industrial sound. Each member comes from his own project: Johansson from Sewer Election, Gustafsson from Altar of Flies, and Nordwall from iDEAL and The Skull Defekts. Their album Auris came out on CD through New Forces.
