Like the groundbreaking novel after which it was named, Hopper's record was truly ahead of its time when it was created. It remains timeless today. 25 years after it was created -- years which saw the rise of industrial music and electronica, the seeds of which can be found in Hopper's release -- the originality and distinctiveness of Hopper's 1984 remains untouched.
